KALINGA PARK

Public BBQ

Kalinga Park is a fantastic family destination on Brisbane's northside that truly has it all. The massive playground caters to kids of all ages with separate areas for toddlers and older children, while the extensive facilities include plenty of electric BBQs, undercover picnic tables, clean toilets, and ample parking. The park connects to the Kedron Brook bikeway, offering sealed walking and cycling paths alongside the creek where you can spot fish and birdlife. There's also a dedicated off-leash dog park, tennis and basketball courts, an outdoor exercise area, and even a mini bike track for kids learning to ride. The lush green spaces provide plenty of shade under tall trees, making it perfect for picnics, sports, or just relaxing. It can get busy on weekends (especially the BBQ areas), so arriving early is a good idea. The park recovered beautifully after flood damage and remains one of Brisbane's best spots for a family outing, whether you're after an active day or a peaceful escape into nature.
